Brazil revises leather import tariffs
The Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry - CICB - has advised that the Brazilian government has altered the import duties that apply to certain types of leather from non-Mercosur countries. The amended listing reads as follows:

Of the nine categories listed, only two were amended. Item 8, which refers to sheepskins, was previously subject to a 10.5% import duty. This has been reduced to take account of local shortages of sheepskins while item 9 is a new category that refers to goatskins.
