Brands account for bulk of Chinese footwear sales in February
Figures newly-released by China’s National Commerce Information Centre show that during February 2001, 1.9 million pairs of leather shoes were sold in the country’s supermarkets - an increase of 10.65 per cent compared with the year-before period.
Together, the ten leading brands - including names such as ‘Aokang’ and ‘Kangnai’ - accounted for more than 50% of the total. The top slot was taken by ‘Shenda’ which accounted for 14.28% of total sales.
