China increases trade with Egypt

Trade between Egypt and China is now worth $900 million, according to local reports. The most important exports from Egypt to China are leather, cotton, citrus fruits and metals.
Egypt is the main importer, buying $800 million worth of goods from China each year, while China buys roughly $100 million of goods from Egypt. China also invests about $16 million in Egypt, mostly on infrastructure projects.
