HTL expands in China
HTL International Holdings is to invest $10.8 million to expand its production facilities in China. The leather hides processor and sofa manufacturer, based in Singapore, has decided to go ahead with the investment at a time when most companies are delaying plans because of global economic conditions.
Around half the money is to be invested in a new wet blue facility with the other half going towards improvements in its sofa production facilities
The company projects that the investment will result in a 30% increase in sofa production to 9,000 units per month, while the output of processed hides will rise 75% to 3,500 per day.
