Architect successfully turns hand to leather

This month’s international fashion trade show WWDMagic will see the launch of Bam Bags, an exciting range of top line leather bags from a new designer. The exhibition is a joint venture with Women’s Wear Daily and is held in Las Vegas (August 27).

The designer of the leather bags is Beth Metsch, an architect who realised that her talent lay in detail and the creation of objects for people’s everyday lives. When she realised she needed a new handbag, she decided to design her own and Bam Bags was founded.

The bags are made in strong leather colours and are hand-sewn and distinctively styled, giving them a classic look and meaning they are suitable for a wide variety of purposes. The exhibition organisers thought the bags were so good they gave them the boost of being displayed at the entrance to the exhibition in a glass case, allowing them to be seen prominently by the more than one hundred thousand buyers that will be visiting WWDMagic for their spring collections.
