Added emphasis on design at this autumn`s APLF fashion and finished products

The organisers of Asia Pacific Leather Fair (APLF) have announced details of this autumn’s Fashion and Finished Products show.

According to CMP Asia (formerly Miller Freeman Asia), the event will feature a host of added attractions, allowing fashion buyers to gain a ‘sneak preview’ of what the latest in leather styles will be in 2002.  It will also be the first exhibition in the region to showcase not just finished leather and leather goods, but also the skills of individual designers, CMP Asia says.

Reflecting this new emphasis on design, the event will feature a ‘Trend Forum’, where fashion buyers can call upon the expertise of Italian designers from Consorzio Stilisti della Riviera del Brenta. In another ‘first’ for the region, members of the Italian Tanners’ Association will be unveiling their designs for the coming season at the show.

Asia Pacific Leather Fair 2001 will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), October 10-12.
