New footwear styles from Etnies

Etnies new skate-based shoe collection, ‘Skate’, is introducing five new styles for spring/ summer 2002. The Midi-Rap, based on Etnies’ classic MC Rap, incorporates new technical features including hidden nylon lace loops and added ankle height for support. The Sidekick has strobel construction for fit and mesh ventilation, and the Siege includes a rubber outsole, a polyurethane midsole and a high abrasion superknit lining from heel to toe. The Tron comes as Tron Mesh – a super breathable shoe – and Tron Embossed, which has no seams, and the final style in the range, the Callicut, is a spin-off of Etnies’ Lo Cut.

In the other shoe segments include two new styles for BMXing. The Trauma 2 adds new technical features for comfort, fit and style to the Trauma ‘built to ride’ shoe, and the Signal is a basic price shoe with rubber toecap, suede upper and an effective sole grip. For all terrain wear is the El-Moro for trail running which has a rugged running platform, light eva midsoles and moulded support shanks, and the Billet which features a water resistant suede sand leather upper, rust-proof metal hardware, and moulded toe and heel counters.

The season’s offerings also carry through to sandal styles which include the athletically styled Hydra with a 3D mesh upper and two way focus for breathability; the futuristic-looking Pulse with a moulded synthetic upper, and the Prism for women – a slip on sandal with a soft lining mesh and comfortable moulded sole.
