US foot and rainwear manufacturer LaCrosse Footwear Inc is to move its headquarters to Portland, Oregon after more than a century in its present location. The company will merge its administrative side with Danner Shoe Manufacturing Co., also in Portland. The change means 35 jobs will go only weeks after 125 jobs were lost when the firm closed a plant in June. The plant produced rubber and plastic footwear, which is now manufactured for LaCrosse in the Far East.
