Czech Republic set to grow in 2001-2002

30/07/2001

An economic survey of the Czech Republic carried out by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has predicted that gross domestic product (GDP) will grow by 3.0–3.5% in 2001 and 2002. Domestic demand should be growing fast but inflation is set to stay below 5 %. The survey suggested that overall economic growth will be limited by the important restructuring that is taking place in the business sector.
