The Czech Agriculture Ministry is reported to be preparing a new regulation that will make it compulsory for each piece of beef sold to bear a label stating country of origin and the age of the slaughtered animal. Demand for beef is recovering after a significant drop in consumption related to the BSE and foot-and-mouth disease affairs, say domestic beef producers.
