An official mission of EU vets has arrived in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul to evaluate the measures taken to eradicate Foot and Mouth Disease.

Comprising Doctors Graham Wood, Florence Morin, Joerg Niederberger and Antônio José Rainha, the delegation will look at the control measures adopted in the districts where a total of twenty-one outbreaks have been confirmed, with a view to deciding whether exports of beef and beef-related products to the EU can resume.
