Hungarian agricultural sector calls for greater level of subsidy

The Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture has called for Ft 1.3 billion ($4.3 millon) in government subsidies to help export at least 1.1 million tons of this year’s bumper wheat harvest. Meanwhile, the Meat Product Council has said it has finished preparing next year’s proposed swine and cattle subsidy system, calling for Ft 16.8 billion expenditure.
