Reports that China has begun allowing imports of hides from Belgium and Germany have been refuted by the country’s State Administration for Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine in Beijing.

The Administration says that although some areas may be allowing hides in under their own local regulations, in the absence of these the ban on such imports remains in place.
