Vibram widens its range

Vibram® has added to its range of soles with seven new products. For the sports sector are the Multisport, Monster, Watersport, Alizes and Biogolf. Multisport, for adventure racing, trail running and light hiking, incorporates Vibram® patented multi-traction lugs for 360-degree grip, thrust and braking. It is designed with a nylon insert that has variable heel, midfoot and toe area flex zones, and includes an EVA midsole for lightweight comfort.

The Monster, for no-limits trekking, has Vibram ‘moving lugs’ to compress and return energy to encourage an ideal walking motion. A lug design on the sole periphery is designed to maximise efficiency, promote stability and reduce shearing of the foot inside the shoe for comfort and reduced fatigue. The Watersport, for maximum grip and water evacuation, features Vibram Trek rubber compound and water evacuation channels in the sole surface to eliminate hydroplaning.

The Alizes, for aquatic challenges, has extra grip inserts made of Vibram SB dark rubber, specially designed for sailing. Micro-lamellas achieve a best compromise between grip and water elimination. The Biogolf, in Vibram Trek rubber compound, is designed for all season golf performance. It has interchangeable synthetic lugs for various course conditions and a self-cleaning lug pattern.

Other Vibram® designs are the Dayton and the Las Vegas - both targeted at city and country streets. The Dayton, which was inspired by the classic driving shoe, has an exclusive tread pattern which includes a contrasting s-shaped curve. The left and right soles are different, each with its tread pattern maximised for control of brakes, clutch and accelerator. The Las Vegas is a thin sheet of supple rubber coupled with an EVA midsole, with a ‘50s-inspired racing strip in a contrasting colour.
