The chemical producer Stahl’s new Brazilian Technology Centre was officially opened at the beginning of June by Mr Jeremy Scudamore, chief executive officer of parent group Avecia and Mr Willi Vaskovich, chief executive of the Stahl Group.

Construction of a new office building adjacent to the production facilities in Portao was completed last year. The recent completion of the new Technology Centre has allowed the technical sales staff to join their administrative and production colleagues in a single unit.

Stahl describes the new centre as providing extensive additional facilities for the company’s leather finishing, colours and tanning product divisions. It is also aimed at providing a focal point for research, development and support for customers throughout the Mercosul region.
