China favours Italian leather and fur
Figures released last week by China’s General Administration of Customs show that during the period January to April, 2001, the country imported leather and fur products worth a total of $111 million from Italy.
During the same period, China imported Italian textile and raw materials products worth $65.424 million, and chemical products worth $73.414 million. China’s total Italian imports for the period were $1.175 billion U.S. dollars - up 41 percent year on year.
