‘Tan Alliance’ formed by Brazilian tannery suppliers
Five Brazilian companies supplying complementary products and services to the Brazilian tanning sector has grouped together to form ‘Tan Alliance’ – a new partnership that promises to deliver tailor-made technical solutions for businesses involved in the tanning of leather.
The five member organisations of Tan Alliance are: the tanning equipment manufacturer NBN Automacao; the drums and recycling systems specialist Michelon; the effluent treatment specialist Tratef ; the overhead conveying systems installer BKF Industria; and the information systems provider Systemhaus.
Tan Alliance says it offers a fully integrated ‘holistic’ approach to the production of leather, where the equipment and chemicals to be used are specified together and all elements of the production process are optimised. It also encompasses after-sales care, offering a ‘cradle to grave’ systems support and maintenance.
The Partnership says it has already closed a contract with a major Canadian leather producer and that it will be looking to offer the service on a world-wide scale in the long term.
