Poland lifts ban on raw hide imports

Poland Chief Veterinarian Mr. Andrzej Komorowski announced last week that as
from June 11, the ban on imports of raw hides will no longer apply - except with regard to hides from countries where Foot and Mouth Disease has been diagnosed (i.e., France, Ireland, Holland, UK and Northern Ireland).

The government has also lifted the ban on the import of live animals (goats, sheep, pigs and bovine), fresh meat and processed meat, fresh milk and processed milk seeds and embrions, bones and horns.
