The El Aguila tannery complex in the Florida district of Uruguay has a new owner.

He is Jacobo Wolkowicz, who reportedly has plans to refurbish the complex and install new equipment. Wolkowicz purchased the tannery from the BROU business organisation and says no job losses will result from the change of ownership. At the moment, the tannery exports 97% of its leather production.
