Siberian tannery closed by floods
Production at a large tannery in Kyzyl, the capital of the Siberian Republic of Tuva, is reported to have been brought to a standstill by the heavy floods currently affecting the area. The tannery is said to be one of the town’s largest employers.
The government of the republic of Tuva in Siberia has declared a state of emergency in the town, as well as in the neighbouring districts of Todzhinsky, and Baitaiginsky districts due to heavy floods.
