Ecco Slovak sales jump 200% in 2000

Speaking to a local news service, financial manager Jozef Valach said that in 1999 the company experienced a Sk53m ($1m) loss. Last year, however, it was able to trade its way back into the black, turning in a pre-tax profit of around Sk35m ($699,313).
Between 1998 when the company was set up to the end of last year, Ecco Slovak invested Sk575m ($11.5m). It is planning to double its investment this year and also substantially increase its workforce.
