Bata India looks to China for components

Local reports say that Canada’s Bata Shoe organisation is considering increasing its 51% stake in its Bata India subsidiary, and that the Indian company is looking to outsource a higher proportion of its components from China.

The news follows on from the appointment a new senior management team at Bata India and new managing director, C. Mozaria, earlier in the year.
