Profitable 2000 for Italy’s Finduck

The Italian
leather goods group Finduck has announced profits of L13 billion ($5.9 million) for the Financial Year 2000 on a turnover of L167 billion - 62 per cent of which was derived from exports.In the first four months of 2001, turnover rose by 25 per cent year on year, and the group has forecast revenues of L200 billion for the whole of the financial year. Finduck controls the brands Mandarina Duck, Lamarthe and Tibaldi. Acquired in 1996, Lamarthe reported a 54% year on year increase in 2000 to L20 billion.
