Leather exports highlighted by Indo-Austrian trade forum
India’s leather goods exports are among several that are expected to benefit from the creation of the new Indo-Austrian Business Forum.
Speaking at the launch of the forum in New Delhi last week, Trade Commissioner S Dabringer noted that India’s exports to Austria totalled US$120 million in 2000, while imports from the European country stood at US$100 million. Aside from leather goods, India’s main exports to Austria include machinery, garments and tea while imports from Austria comprise pharmaceutical products, paper and steel.
