Italian leather and leather goods producer prices rise by 5.2% in March
According to Italy’s official statistics office ISTAT, the producer (i.e. ‘factory gate’) prices of leather and leather goods increased 5.2% year on year during March. This was against the background of a 2.4% increase in consumer goods producer prices during the month.
By comparison, the producer price of minerals increased by 5.4%, electricity, gas and water increased by 20%, with oil derivatives falling by a 3.2% margin.
