Stride Rite president and COO resigns

The US children’s footwear brand, Stride Rite Corp. announced last week that its chief operating officer president, Diane Sullivan, will resign on May 31.
Sullivan, who has been with Stride Rite for six years, was said by the company to be leaving to ‘explore other business opportunities’.
Asked whether the company was looking for a replacement, a Stride Rite executive said: "We are taking a little time and evaluating that position to see if the company still needs it or whether we can do without it ... that's the question." With the news, Stride Rite shares closed down 10 cents at $7.50.
