Punjab cattle free of FMD
There are no symptoms of foot and mouth disease among the cattle population of the Punjab province of Pakistan. The Punjab Livestock Department has taken all the necessary steps to protect the animals from the disease, with field staff having been provided with vaccines for the purpose.
These were the main messages of a meeting chaired by the Punjab Minister for Revenue, Malik Muhammad Aslam Khan, last week.
The same meeting issued a request to farmers who have imported cows to regularly inspect their animals.
