New management at Polish Tannery
In a shock move, the supervisory management at Poland’s Skotan Tannery last week sacked all three members of its board of directors.
The development was all the more unexpected as Skotan is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and considered one of the country’s most successful tanneries, with a strong track record in the processing of pig and calf skins.
Mr Jan Konieczny former Managing Director of Skotan is a well-known figure in the Polish leather sector and a vice president of country’s Chamber of Shoe and Leather Industry (PCSLI). Though they have yet to be named, the company’s new board members are thought to come from outside of Polish leather industry.
