Lucky for some – ‘Chinese 13’ pronounce themselves ‘satisfied’ at WSA outcome

01/04/2001

The thirteen Chinese shoemakers exhibiting at last month’s World Shoe Association (WSA) Show in the USA, under the aegis of the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), have pronounced themselves ‘satisfied’ at the outcome of their representation at the show.

CLIA reports contacts were made across a broad cross-section of potential customers and several contracts were signed. The Association’s display of lightweight sandals, slippers, leisure shoes and children’s shoes were especially well received – particularly among South American delegates, who appreciated their bright colours and choice of materials.

CLIA estimates that it transacted some 30% more business than it did at the previous WSA, held in August 2000.
