Mixed results for Taiwan’s synthetic leather producers in February 2001

Operating revenue results for Taiwan’s listed plastic and synthetic leather producers varied widely during February 2001.
Whereas the Union Leather and Printing Co. Ltd notched up a year on year increase of 37.5% to T$113 million ($3.4 million), the equivalent figure at polyurethane leather manufacturer, Sun Yad Plastic Co Ltd, was down 8.8% to T$62.3m ($19 million). Meanwhile, the leather products manufacturer San Fang Chemical Industry Co Ltd, was able to post operating revenues of T$310m ($9.4 million) - up 16.8% on February 2001.
