Naples to host preview event for Lineapelle and Simac-Tanning Tech
The organisers of the Lineapelle and Simac-Tanning Tech exhibitions, in partnership with Italy’s national tanning industry body UNIC and export promotions agency ICE, will host a special preview of the events in Naples in early September.
The exhibitions will run concurrently in Milan from September 15-17. The preview event will take place in Naples on September 3.
The organisations involved said the connection between advanced technology and the creative know-how of manufacturing companies represents one of the strong points of the leather industry in Italy.
They added that the way international markets are developing now means industry players have to confront a wide range of challenges. “Dialogue between creative teams and technology providers is now something that is of strategic value,” they said, “in helping the sector adapt.”
They said they had picked Naples for the preview event because the southern city is home to creativity and innovation in fashion, footwear and leathergoods, but is also an important centre for traditional craftsmanship.
