Pakistan and China discuss leather and footwear cooperation
Pakistan and China have discussed potential cooperation opportunities in the leather and footwear sectors during a business forum and B2B meetings held in Lahore.
Hosted by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), the event brought together Pakistani industrial representatives and a 58-company Chinese trade delegation.
FPCCI highlighted leather, leather products and footwear among the sectors where joint ventures, technology transfer and investment could help strengthen Pakistan’s export potential. The Chinese delegation included companies from the leather and footwear industries, alongside other manufacturing sectors.
Discussions focused on opportunities for industrial partnerships, technology exchange, distribution networks and increased trade links between businesses from both countries. The meeting forms part of wider efforts to expand private-sector cooperation between Pakistan and China.
