Brazil releases first-half export results for hides and leather
Brazil’s exports of hides, skins and leather brought in revenues of $544.1 million in the first half of 2026. This represents a fall of 4.9% compared to the same period in 2025.
In terms of area, tanners and traders shipped a total of 90.8 million square-metres of material in the first six months of this year, down by 2.3% year on year.
During the six-month period, the hides, skins and leather that Brazil shipped to customers overseas had a total mass of 324,600 tonnes, up by 6.1% year on year.
