UITIC names venue for 2027 international congress
The International Union of Shoe Industry Technicians (UITIC) has announced that Jakarta will be the venue for its twenty-third international congress. The event will take place next year, from August 2-4.
UITIC said the congress would take place with the support of the Indonesian national footwear association, Aprisindo, and of local event partner, Krista Exhibition.
“The choice of Indonesia reflects UITIC’s commitment to fostering an increasingly up-to-date exchange among the stakeholders that make up the global footwear supply chain,” said the organisation’s president, Sergio Dulio.
He added that “dialogue among industrial cultures”, cross-fertilisation and access to best practices are key factors in understanding “the major technological, manufacturing and social transformations affecting our industry”.
He said the UITIC Congress in Jakarta would have the objective of creating “a global platform for exchange and shared growth for all stakeholders across the sector”.
