Facility closures announced by JBS USA

15/06/2026

JBS USA has announced plans to close a beef production facility in Souderton, Pennsylvania, and a value-added site in Memphis, Tennessee as part of its wider strategy focused on growth, modernisation and long-term competitiveness in the US.

The company said production from both sites will be absorbed into its wider network to maintain supply continuity for customers.

CEO Wesley Batista Filho said the decision was difficult but necessary as the company continues to invest in expansion and efficiency improvements across its US operations, including recent investments in Texas, Georgia and Iowa.

JBS USA added that affected employees will be supported through transition measures, including access to other roles within the business and on-site assistance.
