Italian accessories-makers prepare for ‘exciting’ showcase in London
Italian trade agency ITA has partnered UK-based fashion trade show Scoop to bring Italian accessories to the show for the first time.
Many of the leathergoods, footwear and jewellery-makers are family-owned businesses, with knowledge and techniques passed down through generations.
Handbag manufacturer Ripani’s dedication to preserving Italian craftsmanship is reflected in its archive, which celebrates more than two centuries of leatherworking tradition and design.
The footwear selection includes Acanto (pictured), Fiorentini + Baker, Lorenzo Masiero and Sayyou.
Karen Radley, creative director of Scoop, said: "Beyond the collections themselves, there are remarkable stories of creativity, heritage and entrepreneurship behind these designers, making this one of the most exciting international showcases we have ever presented."
Scoop takes place at Olympia National Kensington, London, from 19-21 July 2026.
