Boost for Caleres in Q1 after Stuart Weitzman acquisition

05/06/2026

Footwear group Caleres has reported revenues of $667 million for the first quarter of its current business year, the period ending May 2, 2026.

Caleres said this represented growth of 8.5% compared to the same quarter last year.

A significant factor was that Stuart Weitzman, which Caleres acquired on August 4, 2025, contributed extra revenue of $43.9 million to the group’s total for the first quarter.

Even excluding the Stuart Weitzman contribution, Caleres would have achieved growth in the first quarter, with an increase in revenues of 1.4%.

Chief executive, Jay Schmidt, commented: “The first quarter was an encouraging first step toward a build-back year for Caleres. We continue to expect modest sales growth and meaningful earnings growth in 2026.”
