New leather goods role at Givenchy

French luxury brand Givenchy has appointed Marco De Vincenzo as head of leather goods design, working under creative director Sarah Burton.

The company confirmed the appointment after reports emerged in independent media outlet Miss Tweed. Givenchy said Mr De Vincenzo would work closely with Ms Burton to support the development of the maison’s leather goods category.

Mr De Vincenzo most recently served as creative director at Etro, leaving the business in March after four years in the role. He previously built experience in leather goods through consultancy work for Fendi.

Earlier this year, Givenchy introduced The Snatch handbag, alongside updated versions of its Antigona and Voyou bag collections under Ms Burton’s direction.
