China’s leather garment exports double in value

Figures for the first two months of 2026 show that manufacturers in China exported leather garments worth $28.3 million.

According to analysis by the China Leather Industry Association, this is double the value that leather apparel exports had in the same months in 2025.

Leather garments also proved popular in the domestic market, with imports increasing in value by 14.6% over the two-month period to reach $22 million.
