Christopher Kane to drive Mulberry’s ready-to-wear vision
UK-based leathergoods brand Mulberry has appointed British designer Christopher Kane as creative director of women’s ready-to-wear, advancing the brand’s ‘Back to the Mulberry Spirit’ strategy, which focuses on British creativity, craft, and culture.
Mr Kane, a Central Saint Martins graduate, has won the Vogue Fashion Fund and four British Fashion Awards, including womenswear designer of the year.
Andrea Baldo, CEO of Mulberry, said Mr Kane brings “creativity, intellectual rigour and instinctive playfulness” along with respect for craft and materials. Christopher added that he looks forward to creating a new chapter of ready-to-wear that reflects Mulberry’s heritage.
The first Mulberry by Christopher Kane collection will debut in September 2026, with availability in stores and online from January 2027.
