Turin’s turn to host LVMH careers tour
The current LVMH Métiers d’Excellence (ME) tour reached Italy on March 18.
LVMH describes Métiers d’Excellence as “a pioneering skills training programme” through which it aims to preserve and pass on “exceptional know-how” in areas such as leathergoods production.
It began the programme in 2014 and, in 2022 began to run tour events to give young people in different cities opportunities to find out about the group and about career possibilities there.
These tours include opportunities to talk and ask questions, as well as live demonstrations of the craftsmanship of artisans working for the group’s brands.
In 2026, the tour began in Paris in January before moving to Lyon in February. The Italian leg, which has the support of Italy’s ministry for business and ‘Made In Italy’, began in Turin and attracted 1,359 visitors. A second Italian event will take place in Naples on March 26.
