World Leather magazine: February-March issue out now
A new issue of World Leather is available now, with something of a special focus on Brazil.
Our Leather Leaders interview is with CICB president, José Fernando Bello, who addresses subjects as diverse as tariffs, traceability and AI. In Leather and the Circular Economy, we have a feature on recent developments at JBS Couros that are aimed at extracting the maximum possible value from every part of every hide. We also bring you the thoughts of designer Walter Rodrigues, who argues that leather offers longevity, stability and lasting value in a world full of change and unpredictability.
Beyond Brazil, we introduce independent wet-end leather chemicals developer Muno and offer a full round-up of the recent IILF exhibition in Chennai. There is also important news from Italy on an agreement with the government that will help leathergoods and footwear companies recruit new talent. Also, we cover the ongoing western boots trend and make it clear that, for some brands and some consumers, their appeal started long before Beyoncé and will continue for years to come.
Our closing article, in Beast to Beauty, tells the heartening tale of Deux Mains, an accessories and footwear brand that is providing employment and hope in Haiti.
We hope you enjoy the whole magazine.
