Leather projects among the winners at first LVMH Life 360 Awards
Luxury group LVMH has introduced a new internal awards programme to celebrate “the environmental transformation” that has taken place at the 41 brands that make up the group.
This first edition of the programme, the Life 360 Awards, recognised 13 initiatives across the group from a total entry list of 187 projects that brands submitted.
Winning entries included a programme at Louis Vuitton to encourage regenerative livestock practices. In particular, the aim of this project was to restore biodiversity, rebuild water cycles and reduce the carbon footprint of the leather supply chain, while ensuring animal welfare.
Louis Vuitton also won for a reuse programme through which it has made unused materials from its inventory available for other brands to use.
