Advisory Board chair hands over at SLF strategy meeting
08/12/2025
Mr van Haarst, who has served as chair since 2021, is stepping down after more than four years in the role and more than five years of involvement with the foundation. SLF thanked him for his contribution to governance, industry engagement and the development of the foundation’s transparency and sustainability programmes. Commenting on his departure, he said he would continue to follow the organisation’s work from a distance.
Mr Hankey takes over the chair position with immediate effect. SLF said he brings extensive industry experience and a strategic focus to the role as the organisation moves into its next phase of development.
The Strategy Meeting also reviewed progress across SLF’s core programmes, including the Transparency Dashboard, international stakeholder engagement and new project development to support companies facing evolving sustainability requirements.
