Former sales director at leather manufacturing group Pittards, Mike Dodd, has been installed as the new master of the Worshipful Company of Glovers, one of the City of London’s liveried companies, or ancient trading guilds.

The Glovers’ company was formed in 1349.

Mike Dodd joined Pittards, a specialist in gloving leather, in the 1980s after studying languages at university. He worked at the Somerset-based leather manufacturer until it closed in 2023. He worked in a number of roles, eventually becoming sales director.
