The Brazilian leather sector, represented by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) through the Brazilian Leather project, is part of the Presidential Mission to Indonesia and Malaysia.

The delegation is attending the Brazil–Indonesia Economic Forum in Jakarta to explore partnerships and strategic alliances aimed at strengthening Brazil’s leather exports.

Indonesia is a key market for the Brazilian Leather initiative, with an established industrial base in textiles, footwear, leather goods, and automobiles, supported by a skilled workforce and global export networks.

The mission will continue to Malaysia, another target market for Brazilian leather. The country will host the Brazil–Malaysia Business Summit, which will focus on trade and industrial cooperation in manufacturing sectors such as leather, electronics, automotive products, and rubber.

CICB said participation in both markets supports its goal of promoting the international presence and competitiveness of Brazilian leather.
