MILE leather museum inaugurated in Arzignano
The Museum of Interactive Leather Experience (MILE) was officially inaugurated in Arzignano on September 27.
Promoted by the Distretto Veneto della Pelle and Acque del Chiampo, the museum is the first of its kind in Italy dedicated to leather. Using immersive technologies and interactive exhibits, it presents the history, innovation and sustainability of tanning in the Chiampo Valley.
The launch formed part of “MILE Week”, a series of guided tours and cultural events highlighting the industry’s heritage and future.
Riccardo Boschetti, president of the Distretto Veneto della Pelle, said: “MILE Week represents both an achievement and a new beginning. We are offering the region a place that preserves memory, tells the story of innovation and opens new perspectives for international dialogue.”
