Leadership change and strategic plan at leather cluster

Leather Cluster Barcelona has entered a new phase with the launch of its 2025–2030 Master Plan and a change in leadership.

Director Jordi Vidal has stepped down after eight years in the role to pursue new opportunities. President Bernat Vilarrubias will propose project manager Mònica Santamans as his successor at the upcoming board meeting in May. Ms Santamans has been part of the cluster since 2019 and has experience in both public and private sectors.

The new management team will include Mònica Santamans and project managers Jonatan Cuadrado and Carla Vélez. An internal reorganisation is planned to support this transition.

The 2025–2030 Master Plan, already in its initial phase, sets strategic goals and priorities for the cluster, focusing on results, competitiveness and collective impact. Full details will be presented at the May meeting.
