The founders of New York-based brand Proenza Schouler, Jack McCollough and Lázaro Hernández, will replace Jonathan Anderson as creative directors of leathergoods brand Loewe.

On confirming the appointment, Loewe said the pair had played a fundamental role in defining modern fashion, with designs based in “a rigorous exploration of craftsmanship, filtered through artistic sensitivity”.

It said this was in keeping with Loewe’s values.
