World Leather February-March available now
A new issue of World Leather magazine is now available.
This is our issue for February-March 2025 and it includes an important article in our Leather and the Circular Economy section. It’s a feature that highlights work that New York-based accessories group Tapestry has done to trace cattle all the way through its supply chain and to use the data to make its finished products traceable too.
It says this idea can help the whole industry address regulatory requirements, including the European Union Deforestation Regulation. More information on how this works and how other organisations can use the same tools as Tapestry will come to light in the weeks ahead.
Also in our Circular Economy section, we cover the European Commission’s new ‘Clean Industrial Deal’, explore that opportunities that repair services offer brands in terms of relationship-building with customers, and find out what Alliance France Cuir president, Christophe Dehard, believes the leather industry must do to adapt to changes in the upstream supply chain.
This section also carries two informative articles focusing on skills-sharing and the challenge of preparing new generations of workers to work with leather.
In our tanning technology section, we bring articles on finishing, on drying hides and on drum technology. Leather Leaders is a detailed conversation with the new president of Assomac, Mauro Bergozza, and we close with a Beast to Beauty feature outlining efforts that shoe brand Puma is going to to help consumers better understand its material choices.
As always, we hope readers will enjoy every article.
